Ben is wonderful young, homebred stallion that made his showing debut in 2002 and his breeding debut the spring of the following year. This was a test breeding year for him, as he only breed my mares. He has size, bone, conformation, a good foot, three lovely, uphill gaits with suspension and athleticism, plus a disposition and work ethic that can't be beat. For a big boy he has a lot of stamina. He farms, drives, rides and enjoys either on the trail. He works quietly with all genders, or alone, and aims to please.

He has been crossed with a variety of mares, including, but not limited to, Thoroughbred and Crosses, Appaloosa, Morgan/Appendix, Arabian and Percheron. Thus far he's passed on all of his wonderful qualities to his foals, just as his sire and dam did. His lines come from three generations of homebreds and none of them have, or have had, any soundness or health issues. His dam and her full sister are 23 & 24, retired from breeding, but still going strong and working.

If you're looking for a stallion with these traits for work, show or pleasure, take a close look at what Ben has to offer. His first two colts went onto event homes. My focus is dressage and eventing, however, fox hunting, combined driving or other disciplines will not be overlooked.

He has a 100% conception rate. Scroll to the bottom of this page to see what he's produced and click HERE to see what's to come.

You can tell by the dates how slow we're going.
A few canter strides to improve his trot and not cantered every lesson.

Spring Training at Forrest Hill Farm - June 2004

Being invited and spending a wonderful five days there was the highlight of my spring.

I learned so much in a short period of time and hope to go back next spring.

Sorry, some of the pics aren't the best.
